Summary Description
The Buyer is responsible for planning and managing the supply of raw materials, packaging, and purchased components required to support manufacturing operations. This role ensures material availability to meet production schedules while balancing inventory levels, service performance, and cost.
The Buyer works cross‑functionally with Supply Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Logistics to execute plans, resolve issues, and support continuous improvement in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment.
What will your day look like?
- Generate and maintain material requirements based on demand forecasts and production schedules
- Create, review, and manage purchase requirements in the ERP system to ensure timely material availability
- Monitor inventory levels and recommend actions to prevent shortages, excess, or obsolescence
- Support daily and weekly execution by resolving material availability issues impacting production
- Partner with Manufacturing and Production Planning to align material plans with production needs
- Collaborate with Procurement on purchase order timing, supplier performance, and issue resolution
- Communicate material risks, constraints, and changes to relevant stakeholders
- Maintain accurate material master data including lead times, lot sizes, safety stock, and ordering policies
- Analyze inventory and consumption trends to improve planning accuracy
- Execute planning activities within ERP systems (Oracle Fusion preferred) and supporting Excel tools
- Participate in initiatives to improve material flow, planning processes, and system utilization
- Support root cause analysis of material shortages, excess inventory, and service failures
- Document standard work and contribute to consistent planning practices
- Additional duties as assigned

QualificationsWhat will you bring to the table?
- BA or equivalent experience
- 0 - 3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing.
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
- Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Goal-oriented with an ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data to make timely decisions and recommendations.
- Ability to build meaningful partnerships across the organization.
- Demonstrate good judgment, be decisive and possess ability to apply critical thinking when solving problems.
- Must be able to work independently and demonstrate effective initiative.
