Buyer

Department: Sourcing/Purchasing

Location: Columbia, PA - Plant

Reporting To: Karen Swigert

ASC Engineered Solutions is looking for a Buyer who will be responsible for purchasing activities required to procure materials and supplies in a timely and cost-effective manner to support the manufacturing facility.

How You Will Help

• Researching and comparing suppliers, goods, and services.
• Selecting the most suitable suppliers in terms of reliability, product quality, and cost-efficiency.
• Preparing and processing purchase orders.
• Maintaining records of all purchasing-related transactions.
• Scheduling and verifying purchase deliveries to support production schedules.
• Building and maintaining positive, long-term supplier relations.
• Work with Accounts Payable Department on resolving invoice discrepancies.
• Monitor market trends and conditions for products used by ASC.
• Perform other related duties as directed by Purchasing and Procurement Manager.

What You Will Bring

• Minimum of AS Degree in Business or related field.
• MRP experience a plus. Knowledge of Infor Manufacturing systems a plus.
• At least two years of clerical experience preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to learn purchasing procedures and policies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Excel proficiency required.
