The Buyback Attendant - Metals is responsible for performing various physical tasks to support the overall operations of the Recycling facility. This role involves manual labor, material handling, and collaboration with other team members to ensure the efficient processing and recycling of materials.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Material Handling:
Sort recycling materials from conveyor belts, or processing equipment.
Cleaning and maintenance:
Keep the work area clean and organized to maintain a safe and efficient environment.
Assisting Machine Operators:
Collaborate with machine operators to ensure the smooth operation of processing equipment.
Follow instructions to support the processing of recycled material.
Documentation:
Maintain basic records or material movements and activities as required.
Report any issues, incidents, or observations to supervisors.
Safety compliance:
Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment,
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve daily production goals.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to address any challenges or concerns.
Job Qualifications
Education:
High School diploma or GED
Experience and Competencies:
Garbage/Recycling experience preferred
Ability to lift or carry heavy objects as necessary
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
