Butchery Assistant Part-Time – New World Rangiora

Permanent Part-Time

New World Rangiora is seeking a motivated and energetic person to join our Butchery team as a Butchery Assistant. This role entails working with our butchery team to ensure our customers have an excellent range of butchery products.

Our Butchery focuses on offering customers a great selection of quality cuts and providing amazing customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• A focus on our customers & producing quality product
• Adhere to Food Safety and Health & Safety standards
• Contribute to a positive team environment
• Assisting in the production of product
• Packing & merchandising product

What we are looking for:

• Flexibility and the ability to work well in a team environment
• Reliable and self-motivated
• A positive approach, with the aim to contribute to a happy productive work environment
• Great time management and strong written and verbal communication skills
• Enjoy continual learning and development
• The ideal candidate will have a vast knowledge of meat cuts, and an understanding of production requirements

The day and hours are Sunday 5.30am to 2pm

Experience in the Butchery is not necessary but a love of food, a passion for customer service and being a team player is desirable.
