BUTCHERY ASSISTANT

Business Unit: Dunedin PAK’nSAVE

Job Type: Full-Time

Hours: Friday – Tuesday (5am-1:30pm) 40 hours

We are looking for a Butchery Assistant to join our friendly and hardworking Butchery Team. We’re a practical, hands on team where everyone helps out and takes responsibility for their work. We take pride in doing things well, and keeping standards high - whether that’s helping customers, packing and labelling, or keeping the cabinet looking its best.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Packing & Labelling – weigh, pack and label our meat products carefully and accurately
• Stocking the Shelves – Keep our displays full, fresh and looking their best throughout the day
• Quality & Rotation – check dates, and make sure only quality products make it onto our shelves
• Keeping things spotless – help keep the department clean, tidy and safe while following food safety procedures
• Helping the Team – work alongside our butchery team, help customers and pitch in wherever you’re needed

• Positive Attitude - You’re willing to learn, work hard and contribute to a positive team culture.
• Previous butchery or supermarket experience is a bonus, but a great attitude and willingness to learn are even more important.
