Job Description

Join the Sunriver Resort team as a Busser and play a key role in creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests! If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, supporting a collaborative team, and ensuring guests have a clean and welcoming atmosphere, this is the perfect opportunity for you. The busser is responsible for clearing and reseting tables as needed. They shall support service staff with table maintenance issues, Bussers help to insure guest satisfaction. Much of our guests’ impressions are a direct result of busser performance.

They will always conduct themselves in manner which supports the Core Values of Sunriver Resort: Trust, Commitment, and Open and Honest Communication. They shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times and for exemplifying the Sunriver Resort Culture as well as promoting Sunriver Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!

Responsibilities

  • Clock in and check in with the manager-on-duty.
  • Clear and reset tables to standards.
  • Insure silverware is not spotted or fingerprinted and china and glassware is not chipped.
  • Work carefully to avoid breakage and loss.
  • Keep refillable beverages full. Notify server when bringing coffee, tea or other beverages to tables so that these beverages can be charged properly.
  • Inform server of potential issues with guests.
  • Stock/restock appropriate linens and station with appropriate glasses, plates, and saucers.
  • Complete assigned side work. Side work is not optional and will be checked out by the manager-on-duty.
  • Comply with all Sunriver policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work well with others and function well in high customer impact situations.
  • Able to communicate well with staff and customers.
  • Able to work flexible hours and days.
  • Current food handler permit required.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage products.
  • Knowledge of property-wide facilities and services.
  • Must be able to multi-task and to work quickly and discreetly.
  • Must be able to work in extreme environments (hot & cold);
  • Must be able to stand in place and/or walk for up to 4 hours at a time;
  • Must be able to personally lift up to 40 lbs. on a frequent basis;
  • Must be able to occasionally lift over 40 lbs. with assistance;
