Job Description
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead a business unit within the plant and drive performance across safety, quality, productivity, cost, and employee engagement. You will manage key performance indicators, allocate resources effectively, champion continuous improvement initiatives, develop frontline leaders, and partner across functions to achieve operational excellence. Through strong communication and leadership, you will foster accountability, support employee development, and contribute to the continued growth of the organization and its people.
A Taste of Your Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe workplace by maintaining compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations and company safety policies.
- Oversee adherence to food safety, quality, and environmental standards, including Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points, Safe Quality Food, and Regulatory, Brand, and Internal requirements.
- Lead line structure team performance and facilitate effective Daily Direction Setting meetings to communicate operational goals, align priorities, and encourage team engagement.
- Translate issues identified during Daily Direction Setting meetings into actionable daily plans and monitor progress through timely feedback and corrective actions.
- Facilitate Weekly Daily Management System meetings to review operational trends, identify improvement opportunities, and establish measurable objectives.
- Conduct Monthly Business Unit Reviews, prepare performance reports, analyze results, and share best practices across business units.
- Utilize operational data to develop and execute 90-day performance plans, track progress, and adjust strategies to achieve business objectives.
- Manage training programs and competency validation processes to ensure compliance and workforce readiness.
- Partner with Research and Development to enhance production capabilities and support new product launches.
- Collaborate with Human Resources on investigations, corrective actions, and employee relations matters.
- Monitor labor and ingredient utilization to support cost management and product quality objectives.
- Coordinate with Maintenance and Engineering teams to meet production requirements and support operational goals.
- Partner with plant leadership to secure resources, resolve operational challenges, and promote ongoing employee growth and development.
- Mentor supervisors and frontline leaders to strengthen leadership capabilities and succession planning efforts.
Ingredients Required for Your Success
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience within the food industry preferred.
- Experience using digital tools and systems to analyze and leverage operational information across multiple platforms.
- Experience leading teams, managing performance metrics, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with experience partnering across multiple organizational levels.
- Experience using data to support decision-making, problem-solving, and operational planning.
Physical Requirements

- You may be required to walk around the facility, climb stairs/ladders, kneel, or perform repetitive tasks that require hand-eye coordination.

- This is a manufacturing environment with large, moving equipment. Noise levels can be high, and temperatures may vary.

Compensation
Pay Range:$82,000-$120,000
The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
