Job Description:

Level Up is looking for an experienced and strategic Business Unit Head – Pet Food who will lead the growth and overall business performance of the company’s pet food category. The role will oversee business planning, market development, financial performance, supplier management, inventory planning, and operational execution while driving the successful launch, scaling, and growth of pet food products nationwide.

The position requires strong commercial and financial acumen, a deep understanding of the pet food market, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage key stakeholders across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Lead the overall business strategy and growth initiatives for the Pet Food business unit.

• 
  Develop and execute business plans aligned with market opportunities, consumer needs, and company objectives.

• 
  Manage projects from conceptualization through product launch, scaling, and business growth.

• 
  Monitor market trends, consumer behavior, pricing strategies, competitive activities, and distribution channels.

• 
  Oversee business budgets, forecasting, financial performance, and P&L management.

• 
  Lead supplier management, sourcing, inventory planning, and operational execution.

• 
  Develop strategies to strengthen market presence, distribution, and overall category performance.

• 
  Ensure compliance with applicable product registration, regulatory, legal, and distribution requirements for pet food products.

• 
  Collaborate with customers, distributors, suppliers, internal teams, and other key stakeholders to drive business objectives.

• 
  Monitor business performance and provide strategic recommendations to management.

• 
  Lead and develop teams to achieve business targets and maintain high-performance standards.

• 
  Conduct market and field visits and travel nationwide as required.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• 
  Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, Animal Science, or a related field.

• 
  Minimum of 8–10 years of proven experience in FMCG, Pet Care, Animal Nutrition, or related industries.

• 
  Proven nationwide market exposure covering Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

• 
  Strong understanding of the pet food industry, including consumer behavior, market trends, pricing, competitive landscape, and distribution channels.

• 
  Demonstrated experience managing projects from conceptualization to launch, scaling, or management of high-growth business categories.

• 
  Strong experience in supplier management, sourcing, inventory planning, and operational execution.

• 
  Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.

• 
  Knowledge of local product registration, regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements related to pet food products and distribution.

• 
  Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent platforms.

• 
  Strong leadership, decision-making, communication, and people management skills.

• 
  Willing to conduct field visits and work closely with customers, distributors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

• 
  Flexible to work beyond regular business hours, including Monday–Saturday, as business needs require.

• 
  Willing to travel nationwide as necessary.
