YOUR ROLE

At CEVA Logistics, we’re looking for a commercially astute and operationally grounded Business Unit Director to lead our Transition & Transformation team across UK, Ireland and Nordics.

As the Business Unit Director, you will lead the successful delivery of large-scale logistics start-ups, transitions and transformation programmes across our Contract Logistics portfolio. This is a senior leadership role with end-to-end accountability, from solution design and bid support through to mobilization, go-live and stabilization, ensuring safe, effective and commercially viable outcomes at pace.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Reporting into the Managing Director for Contract Logistics, you will lead the delivery of complex transitions, mobilization and transformation programmes across multiple operations, where you will set governance frameworks, and operating models ensuring consistency, control and delivery. You will own and prioritise the programme pipeline, aligning resourcing across Solution Design, Project Management and Business Process Excellence teams where you will provide strong commercial leadership, ensuring robust pricing, cost control, margin protection and risk management, while driving a high-quality solution design, continuous improvement and standardization.

You will influence senior stakeholders and customers in driving alignment, pace and decision making and lead a team of subject matter experts where you will drive empowerment, engagement and high performance, where as a team you will ensure operational readiness across people, processes, systems and training prior to operational handover and BAU activities.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

To be successful in your application you will have proven experience of delivering large-scale logistics transitions, start-ups or transformation programmes with a strong background in warehousing, logistics or production environments. You will be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills across solution design, programme management or continuous improvement functions with a strong understanding of labour models, productivity, service, automation and warehouse design principles.

Naturally you will be commercially astute, confident in pricing, cost models and contract mechanics with focus on margin and risk mitigation and have a strong governance mindset. It goes without saying that you will be an effective communicator, influencer and negotiator, practiced in building strong working relationships, leading, growing and empowering a team of subject matter experts.

With a genuine culture of reward and recognition, we want our employees to grow, develop and be part of our journey. We offer a benefits package that includes competitive annual leave entitlement with a fantastic holiday buy scheme, pension and life assurance along with access to an employee benefits platform that offers discounts on gym memberships and money off vouchers for a diverse range of retail, travel and hospitality brands.
