We are searching for the best talent for a Business Unit Analyst (18-Month Fixed Term Contract) to join our J&J MedTech team. This position is based in Markham, Ontario, Canada.

Purpose

The Business Unit Analyst (Business Insights, Reporting, Commercial Operations) will champion Business Insights through the development of dashboard and reporting capabilities. You will lead variable compensation analytics in ZAIDYN, as well as future analytics and solutions to improve decision making and increase efficiencies within the organization. This role reports into the Commercial Operations Department.

You will be responsible for:

  • Partner with Field Sales Managers and Commercial Leaders on analytics projects and initiatives. Conduct analysis and effectively communicate to Commercial Business Partners.
  • Lead field sales compensation analytics in our Compensation System (ZAIDYN).
  • Lead training sessions for individuals or entire departments to refresh skill and build proficiencies in Tableau, Power BI and ZAIDYN analytics.
  • Track and analyze Sales Force performance of sales volume, productivity, and market share. Analyze and interpret both internal and external factors that affect sales performance. Provide data-based insights on Sales Force effectiveness
  • Develop and maintain forecasting and dashboard metrics. Support data integrity on territory, customer and contract alignment, developing new processes as the business evolves.
  • Capacity to review data sets and discern trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement in deployment, and alignment.
  • Troubleshoot inquiries about account alignments as well as performance data and provide practical recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, IT, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field is required.
  • Master’s degree / MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a Business Analytics or related role is required.
  • Supporting a complex Sales and Marketing organization is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced Tableau, Power BI and/or Excel knowledge and experience in database modeling is required.
  • Practical programming experience with Tableau Data Visualization software is required.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex data and translate into impactful items at the strategic and tactical levels.
  • Exhibit creative thinking, leadership and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence others without direct authority.
  • Exhibit strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments and act as change agent to facilitate organizational change.
  • Up to 10% business travel may be required.
