Job Description

Looking for a meaningful, stable role where your people skills and reliability truly matter?

We’re seeking a Business Administration Trainee to join the front office of a welcoming primary school.

This role suits someone with a bit of life experience, strong communication skills, and a professional approach — who is happy to learn, follow clear processes, and build a long‑term career in administration through a paid traineeship

👋 About the Role

As the Front Office Trainee, you’ll be the first point of contact for families, students, staff, and visitors. You’ll play a key role in supporting the smooth day‑to‑day operation of the school office, while completing a nationally recognised Certificate III in Business Administration with full training provided.

This is a position of trust that requires maturity, discretion, and the ability to communicate calmly and appropriately in a school environment.

💼 What You’ll Be Doing

  • Professionally welcoming families, visitors, and school staff
  • Answering and directing phone calls and emails
  • Completing basic administrative tasks, data entry, and record management
  • Supporting the school administration team with daily front‑office duties
  • Following established procedures and taking direction from senior staff

🌱 About You

This role is ideal for someone who:

  • Communicates confidently and respectfully with adults and children
  • Is comfortable using a computer (emails, data entry, Microsoft Office)
  • Is organised, reliable, and pays attention to detail
  • Can take direction, follow processes, and work as part of a team
  • Presents professionally and understands workplace expectations
  • Is keen to learn, retrain, or build a new career pathway

No formal admin experience is required — however, maturity, reliability, and a strong work ethic are essential.

🎓 What You’ll Get

  • A paid traineeship while you work and learn
  • Completion of a nationally recognised Business Administration qualification
  • School‑hour schedule supporting work–life balance
  • On‑the‑job training with a supportive and inclusive school team
  • Valuable experience suited to long‑term admin and office roles

(Please note: traineeship wages apply in line with award conditions.)
