Job Description

The Business Trainee will provide administrative, project and operational support across the Apprentice Employment Service team while completing a nationally recognised Certificate III in Business qualification. This role is designed to support skill development through structured on-the-job training and mentoring.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Respond to enquiries via phone and email in a professional and timely manner
  • Perform accurate data entry across internal systems, spreadsheets and databases
  • Create, update and maintain Excel spreadsheets, registers and trackers
  • Assist the Apprentice and Employment Operations Manager and Projects and Business Development Consultant with project administration, coordination and reporting as well as day-to-day operational and compliance tasks
  • Assist with data collection, collation and preparation of simple reports and summaries
  • Support marketing and promotion of programs and services, including preparation of materials and event support
  • Liaise with other trainees, apprentices and participants regarding general enquiries and program information
  • Communicate with employers, community groups, Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and other stakeholders as required
  • Assist with purchasing and ordering of program and training support materials, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), uniforms and stationery
  • Maintain electronic and paper filing systems in line with organisational and compliance requirements
  • Provide general administrative support to the broader team as required

Working Hours: Monday - Friday (8:30am - 5pm)

Wages National Training Wage - $15 - 22 per hour
