Requisition Summary

The Peterbilt Motors team is looking for an ambitious and self-directed Business Technology Analyst to lead our projects from conception to launch. The Business Technology Analyst focus is to drive innovation and deliver solutions that change the way we do business and move Peterbilt into the future. Successful candidates will be highly self-directed, excellent problem-solvers and be able to work with all levels of the organization. Strong leadership skills and excellent communication skills are required. This Business Technology Analyst will work as part of an Agile team to deliver projects and drive business benefits. Strong knowledge of software delivery methodologies is required. As a member of the Peterbilt Application Development IT team, job responsibilities will include refining user stories, helping to define a product vision and strategy, and working with great developers to manage and execute projects.

Job Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of medium and complex technology projects and initiatives to provide high quality solutions to the end users, including project management from initiation through deployment.
  • Lead projects of moderate to high complexity with teams of 6 or more participants with budgets in the $1M range and project efforts of 7,500 man-hours or more.
  • Engage in multiple smaller projects, initiatives, and system requests simultaneously.
  • Provide project leadership with a driven agile approach.
  • Coach the development team as the scrum master, lead scrum ceremonies, and assist product owners with backlog prioritization and testing.
  • Build and execute project plans, ensuring conformance to established PACCAR standards and procedures

Job Responsibilities Continued

  • Perform project management tasks including project execution through the ITD Project Management Office and reporting status to senior management.
  • Facilitate workshops to scope projects and gather user stories from multiple stakeholders, teams, and departments.
  • Support developers during the development process to understand the requirements while refining user stories with the business.
  • Perform organizational tasks regarding change control, incident management, and audit.
  • Perform functional, integration, and regression testing as needed to support projects.
  • Acquire and coordinate resources and services from both external vendors and internal teams.
  • Identify risks and collaborate with the team on mitigation plans.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field is required.
  • 7+ years of experience in a business analyst or project manager role
  • Capacity to lead and work effectively with development teams.
  • Highly self-motivated and flexible with focus on delivery
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies including Scrum.
  • Demonstrated problem solving, facilitation, and customer service skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment with little or no supervision.
  • Strong understanding of business process, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Required Qualifications Continued

  • Working knowledge of application technology stack and requirements for integration into the business environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft productivity tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, Azure DevOps
  • LEAN and/or Six Sigma experience preferred.
  • Advanced Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM), project management training (PMP), and Six Sigma certification or training is desired.
  • On-call availability for business support.
