Overview

Lead and develop a team of Business Systems Analysts supporting Workday Financials, providing functional/technical direction, setting service delivery standards, managing performance and workload, and building team capability to deliver consistent, high-quality results. Ensure the stability and reliability of Workday Financials and related solutions by overseeing service operations, including intake and prioritization, request fulfillment, incident triage and escalation, and coordination of root-cause remediation across a broad university user community. Drive continuous improvement of support and operational practices using service metrics, recurring issue and trend analysis, knowledge management, documentation, and process improvements to increase service quality, consistency, and user experience. Lead the team’s contribution to enhancements, projects, and Workday releases by planning capacity, coordinating dependencies with functional and technical partners, managing risks/issues, and ensuring change readiness (testing support, communications, and transition to support) for successful deployment. Partner with the Controller’s Office, Central Finance, and stakeholders to shape the Workday Financials roadmap, translating business needs into prioritized initiatives, challenging requirements, strengthening controls, and simplifying/standardizing processes to maximize Workday value.

Preferred Skills and Abilities

  1. 5+ years supporting ERP/business systems, including 3+ years hands on Workday Financials configuration and production support.
  2. 2+years leadership experience leading analysts in a production support and delivery environment.
  3. Experience coordinating Workday enhancements and releases, including testing and production readiness.
  4. Ability to partner with Finance stakeholders to set priorities, challenge requirements, and deliver governed outcomes.
  5. Workday Financial Pro Certification(s)
  6. Salesforce, ServiceNow or similar experience.
  7. Experience in higher education

Principal Responsibilities

  1. Provides supervision to a unit or group of operational or technical employees. 2. Establishes and delegates day-to day tasks to meet unit/department objectives. 3. Ensures compliance with department, University policies, procedures, and internal controls. 4. Ensures accountability and stewardship of operational, financial and staff resources in compliance with department & University standards. 5. Oversees and manages segments of larger projects, developmental trainings, presentations, and communications. 6. Provides coaching, training, and mentorship to level 1 and 2 staff and/or non-exempt staff. . Required Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree and four years of experience or equivalent education and experience. Skills and Abilities Developed analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Developed interpersonal, written, communication, presentation, and organizational skills. Proven ability to lead and manage staff. Proven expertise with systems analysis methods and techniques. Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures.
