Job Description

The Business Systems & Information Design Analyst will support Customer Clean Energy Programs (CCEP) business teams by coordinating and facilitating work related to the departments business applications and processes, and information strategy. CCEP is responsible for providing and building clean energy solutions, supporting customers with financial incentives for energy efficiency upgrades, electrification transition, and non-pipe alternatives. Business Intelligence is critical to the departments strategy to scale programs, to achieve desired energy savings, and building decarbonization goals by enabling process efficiencies that reduce resource intensity and providing valuable insights that direct action for lead conversion and targeted resource spend. In this role the analyst will work closely with peers on the Product, Platform Engineering, and Data & Analytics teams to leverage internal and external data for decision making and strategic action and deliver system and process enhancements that improve work efficiency. The role requires innovative thinking with an ability to incorporate industry trends and best practice solutions in Artificial Intelligence (AI), process automation, and business intelligence. Knowledge and experience with energy industry data will be helpful. Understanding of the product development life cycle, agile methodology, and process improvement will be an asset in this role.

Core Responsibilities

  • Support product, data applications, and artificial intelligence enhancements for CCEP by working with business teams in preparation for, during, and post engagements with digital product teams. Should be able to document requirements, facilitate individuals and teams navigating established processes, perform analytics and use case exploration tasks.
  • Help troubleshoot business issues that require digital solutions. Work with business teams to understand the issue, discuss issue impact, and be able to communicate findings to manager and digital products peers with the appropriate escalation for what needs to be resolved.
  • Gather, create, and execute on data and information business use cases that enhance performance tracking, optimize operational processes, improve customer targeting and acquisition, monitor and manage risk, and advise planning decision.
  • Explore and discover opportunities to leverage new and existing data and tools to close gaps, reduce operational bottlenecks, and improve day to day program management. Propose ideas to business teams and manager for evaluation and consideration.
  • Seek trends and patterns in data that identify risks. Document and communicate these findings for evaluation and consideration.
  • Serve as business information consultant for reporting, metrics, and other analytics needed by any group within CCEP.
  • Prepare project charters, work plans, business process guides, and guidance documents as needed to support use case delivery.
  • Support projects/ initiatives that are developed in this space. Define project scope, map project schedule, articulate resource needs, and manage task execution.
  • Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of work experience.

Relevant Work Experience

  • 1+ year of experience with energy efficiency and/ or demand management, energy, utility, buildings, real estate data, and knowledge of industry best practices and data standards, required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a data & analytics, or data visualization role or similar, required.
  • Demonstrated ability to manipulate, organize, and present data clearly to various audiences, required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, including data visualization, required.
  • Analytical and critical thinker with demonstrated problem-solving skills and creativity, required.
  • Ability to drive results by working collaboratively with various levels of stakeholders, required.
  • Ability to translate business needs into data requirements, required.
  • Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed, required.
  • Familiarity and experience with project management tools and software, methods and best practices, preferred.
  • Experience running queries and using data tools and analytics platforms to transform large or complex data to usable insights and information, preferred.
  • Understanding and knowledge of databases, data management best practices, SQL queries, preferred.
  • Agility in learning and application of knowledge quickly, and iteratively, preferred.
  • Familiarity with BI platforms like Power BI, Oracle BI, Tableau, or similar, preferred.
