Job Description

Business Systems Consultant, AbbVie Inc., North Chicago, IL: Hybrid 3 fixed days a week/ 2 days.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project scopes, budgets, & schedules, ensuring successful delivery within organizational constraints.
  • Oversee milestone achievement, evaluate & recommend technology solutions, resolve conflicts, & foster collaborative relationships across teams & with external partners for optimal project outcomes.
  • Lead data-driven transformation initiatives, analyze current & future business architectures, & design tailored solutions to meet evolving commercial business needs.
  • Elicit & translate complex requirements, implement process improvements, maintain technical documentation, & present actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Optimize commercial data processes & ensure compliance with corporate standards supports continuous innovation & system performance across the business.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, applied & computational mathematics, data science, management information systems, electronics &/or communication engineering, analytics or related field or foreign education equivalent & 5 years of work experience in a combination of data analyst, data engineering & business systems analyst roles.

Of experience required, must have 5 years:

(i) analyzing the complex data infrastructure, data granularities, data visualization, & iterative prototyping to define architecture & develop secure high performing & scalable solutions;

(ii) analyzing or engineering data with Database using Structured Query Language (SQL); &

(iii) designing & developing ETL/ELT pipeline using tools including Informatica.

Of experience required, must have 3 years:

  1. gathering business requirements & preparing & presenting orally & in writing to supervisor, non-technology stakeholders, & peers in a matrixed organization;
  2. working in Agile methodology;
  3. building data solutions using Snowflake;
  4. storing, processing, or analyzing data on cloud-based solutions;
  5. of experience leading Project Initiatives & ownership of project delivery; &
  6. performing Data Modeling & reviewing the model including designing enterprise level robust data structures, validating data integrity, & ensuring models aligns with best practices.

Of the experience required, must have 2 years analyzing or transforming data with Python.

Experience may be gained concurrently. Will accept any suitable combination or education, training or experience.

Additional Information

Salary Range: $157,974.23 - $183,500.00 per year.
