Sydney Trains is seeking a Business Systems and Compliance Coordinator to support our Maintenance team by driving quality, compliance and continuous improvement across business systems and operational processes.

In this role, you’ll:


Support the Eveleigh and Broadmeadow Maintenance Centres by ensuring maintenance teams have the right processes, tools and information to carry out maintenance activities safely and effectively.

You’ll lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of business systems and processes, monitor compliance with regulatory, licensing and ISO requirements, coordinate audits, investigations, and workplace inspections, and maintain technical documentation and risk registers.

You’ll also be responsible for supporting compliance with training and competency requirements, providing coaching to promote consistent business practices, and driving a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

About you


We’re looking for someone with:


• A background in quality systems, assurance, auditing and investigations, ideally within a heavy maintenance, engineering or asset intensive environment.


• Experience developing and maintaining business or quality management systems within a complex operational environment.


• Strong knowledge of compliance, continuous improvement, and risk management.


• Experience working with ISO 9001 and ISO 55001 management systems.


• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to coach and influence others.


Essential requirement:


• Tertiary qualifications in science, engineering, quality, safety or a related discipline, with extensive knowledge of quality systems and assurance.
