The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), the Business Systems & Applications
Manager leads the strategy, optimisation and management of Peninsula Hot Springs online and internal booking systems to ensure seamless operations, exceptional customer experiences, and strong commercial outcomes. In this pivotal role, you will oversee a team of System Administrators. You will drive continuous improvement, manage the lifecycle of operational applications, and partner closely with Finance, IT, and operational leaders to deliver scalable, efficient and secure systems and processes. With a focus on customer‑facing ecommerce platforms and enterprise process enhancement, this role ensures data integrity, system reliability, and cross‑functional alignment.

Key Accountabilities

System & Process Improvement

• Lead the applications team through system changes required to bring new or updated product offerings to market.
• Monitor, evaluate, and safeguard data integrity and user applications security.
• Develop and roll out project implementation plans and timelines, ensuring minimal disruption to live operations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication

• Partner with the Finance, and Commercial Finance teams to align system reporting ensuring compliance requirements are met
• Conduct comprehensive promotional assessments across departments to evaluate systems effectiveness to support commercial strategies.
• Assist in sourcing, evaluating, and assessing future Information, Communication, and Technology (ICT) applications.

Training, Development & Culture

• Ensure all proposed system improvements and ideas are evaluated in a timely, structured manner.
• Facilitate and undertake training on system processes while managing appropriate employee security access levels.
• Facilitate cross-functional discussions with department managers to identify areas for business and systems improvement.

Leadership

• Communicate regular business updates, changes, and developments to your team to create context and operational alignment.
• Conduct scheduled one-on-one time with direct reports to monitor progress, provide feedback, mentor, and offer support.
• Ensure company values, purpose, and vision drive all decision-making, projects, and processes.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Experience - A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar Business Systems or Applications Management role.
• Leadership - Previous management experience with a proven track record of mentoring and developing direct reports.
• Technical Acumen - In-depth understanding of business systems and customer-facing e-commerce platforms.
• Analytical Skills - Strong problem-solving, planning, organising, and evaluating skills with a sharp attention to detail.
• Communication - Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and operational leaders.
