Description

Product Operations manages Jira Cloud for nearly 10,000 users across Product and Development at Infor. Today, the platform team operates at capacity on reactive administration — keeping the lights on but unable to invest in the strategic capabilities that would maximize our Atlassian investment. This role shifts us from reactive to strategic: ensuring we take full advantage of AI features, automation, integrations, and platform architecture to drive efficiency for every team that depends on Jira.

A Typical Day in the Life Includes

• Evaluate, pilot, and roll out Atlassian Intelligence and emerging AI capabilities (smart automation, natural language JQL, predictive fields, AI-powered summaries) to improve PM and Dev productivity across 30+ product teams
• Own the integration architecture between Jira and connected systems (Aha, Tempo, CI/CD pipelines, reporting tools); ensure integrations are reliable, documented, and scalable
• Design and implement workflow automations that reduce manual effort (auto-transitions, SLA triggers, notification rules, bulk operations)
• Lead platform architecture and scalability planning — managing project structures, permission schemes, and issue type hierarchies for a growing user base
• Drive ongoing platform hygiene: identify and resolve technical debt (inactive projects, orphaned workflows, deprecated custom fields, redundant schemes)
• Define and enforce Jira standards in partnership with the Data Governance role; create enablement content, run office hours, and track compliance across projects
• Manage Atlassian Guard configuration — domain verification, SSO enforcement via Microsoft Entra ID, user provisioning/deprovisioning policies, audit logging, and data security policies across 9,000+ managed accounts
• Partner with API consumers and integration owners to ensure platform changes don't break downstream systems
• Work effectively as part of a small, high-impact team, maintaining ongoing communication and collaboration to prioritize work, share context, and ensure platform support and strategic initiatives stay aligned

Basic Qualifications

• 5-8 years experience administering Atlassian Cloud products (Jira, Confluence) at enterprise scale (5,000+ users)
• Hands-on experience with Jira automation rules, workflow design, custom fields, permission schemes, and project configuration
• Experience with Atlassian APIs and integration patterns (REST APIs, webhooks, marketplace apps)
• Familiarity with Atlassian Intelligence / AI features and willingness to stay current with Atlassian's product roadmap
• Experience with identity management (SSO, SCIM provisioning, Atlassian Guard or equivalent)
• Strong communication skills — ability to translate technical platform decisions into business impact for non-technical stakeholders
• Experience working with distributed teams across time zones

Preferred Qualifications

• Atlassian certifications preferred (Jira Cloud Administrator, Atlassian Cloud Organization Admin)
• Experience with Aha! and Aha-to-Jira integrations
• Experience with Tempo Timesheets
• Background in IT governance, ITSM, or platform operations
• Scripting/automation skills (Python, Groovy, or similar
