San Bernardino County is recruiting for Business Systems Analysts II (BSA II) for various vacancies across the County. BSA IIs evaluate existing business processes/systems/workflows and develop business applications to enhance delivery of departmental services. Assignments include studies in workflow and technology integration; projects requiring research, analysis, and solution development; interacting with all levels of technical, administrative, and professional staff as well as leading a team and assigning project tasks to team members.

Candidates must meet both the experience AND education requirement in order to qualify.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of experience performing full-time equivalent IT business systems analysis or information systems analysis, including four (4) of the following areas: requirements gathering, end user acceptance testing, process mapping, workflow diagramming, documenting business rules, feasibility studies, and cost/benefit analysis.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: Thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed coursework from and accredited** college or university in information technology, computer science, business administration or a closely related field. A list of coursework is required unless you have a bachelor's degree in a qualifying field.
Education Substitution: One (1) year of additional qualifying experience may substitute for the required education.
**Qualifying degrees and coursework must be conferred by institutions accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Degrees earned outside the United States must be accompanied by an evaluation from a recognized credential evaluation service verifying U.S. equivalency.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience solving technical issues, interacting with end users and program developers, and acting in a lead capacity for other technical staff, in addition to providing infrastructure support.
