Business Systems Analyst II
$72,000 - $89,000 | Hybrid with in person reporting to Duluth, MN

The Distribution Business Systems Analyst plays a central role across business processes, systems, and intelligence with duties ranging from facilitating workflow discussions and defining business system requirements to writing reports for dashboards and metrics.

What you'll do

  • Research, analyze, and lead process improvement initiatives that drive positive change through automation, simplification, and standardization.
  • Independently manage multiple large, complex projects—including system implementations and upgrades—spanning various applications and user areas.
  • Support the full project lifecycle, including planning, research, design, testing, documentation, training, and implementation based on user-defined business requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison between CTS (Cyber Technology Services), Distribution business users, internal departments, and vendors to develop and enhance systems while minimizing failures.
  • Maintain business systems knowledge and develop business intelligence solutions to aid problem solving, decision making, and staff training.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Analytics, Business, Data Science, Economics, Finance, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.
  • Three years of job-related experience, including experience in gathering and documenting business requirements, reviewing solutions, and analyzing business processes and systems.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills to be utilized to address various business issues and needs.
  • Strong interpersonal, technical, and communication skills to establish and maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel to other service centers and facilities

How to stand out

  • Have experience in electric utility operations, process analysis and process improvement methods, project coordination, and project management methods.
  • Have working knowledge of Business Intelligence applications, such as Microsoft Power BI
  • Be able to use data summaries and visualizations to tell stories or solve problems with data

The expected annual compensation range for this position is $72,000 - $89,000. Compensation offered to the selected candidate will vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, training, and experience. Additionally, this position qualifies for a comprehensive benefits package including:
