Business Systems Analyst (GIS Specialist)

Our Asset Management – Geospatial Technology team is seeking a Business Systems Analyst (GIS Specialist) to enhance our Gas Distribution Integrity Management Program (DIMP). This role combines business systems analysis (BSA) with geographic information systems (GIS) expertise to support data-driven decision-making, spatial analysis, and system integration across the organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into GIS solutions
- Primary liaison with Gas operational, planning, and engineering teams
- Develop, maintain, and enhance GIS applications, tools, and databases
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document system requirements
- Perform advanced spatial data analysis and create maps, dashboards, and reports
- Provide support to end-users, the GIS technical team, and GIS editing staff on GIS tools and best practices
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with organizational standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in GIS and business systems analysis
- Proficiency with Esri ArcGIS Suite (ArcMap 10x, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, etc.)
- Familiarity with Schneider ArcFM solutions and tools
- Esri Utility Network and Utility and Pipeline Data Model (UPDM)
- Experience with SQL, Python, Arcade, or other scripting languages for GIS automation
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Exerts up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a small amount of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those required for Sedentary Work. Even though the weight lifted may be only a small amount, a job should be rated Light Work when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree or when it requires sitting most of the time, but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls and/or when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is small. NOTE: The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, can be and is physically demanding work even though the amount of force exerted is negligible.
