JOB TITLE: Business Systems Analyst – Corporate Applications (Legal Portfolio)

The Business Systems Analyst – Corporate Applications (Legal Portfolio) will play a critical role in advancing Vertiv’s business operations through the strategic application of technology, with a key focus on supporting the Legal IT Portfolio. The primary objective is to ensure that IT systems are fully aligned with organizational goals. This alignment will drive greater efficiency, compliance, and visibility across the contract lifecycle, ultimately boosting productivity and overall business performance.

By blending technical expertise, business acumen, and strong communication skills, the BSA will lead cross-functional collaboration with teams across the company, and IT to gather requirements, participate in design conversations, and support the delivery of initiatives for the Legal IT Portfolio. The BSA will also play a vital role in identifying opportunities for automation and ensuring data accuracy and consistency for the systems used by the Legal team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Requirement Gathering: Work with stakeholders to define and analyze business requirements for new systems or enhancements to existing systems.

Process Analysis: Analyze current business processes and workflows, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities to leverage AI and automation for greater efficiency.

Documentation: Create detailed specifications to include functional requirements, process maps, and use cases, to guide the development and implementation process.

Testing and Validation: Develop and execute test plans and test cases to ensure that systems meet business needs and function as expected.

Training and Support: Provide training and support to end users, ensuring they understand how to use new systems effectively. Create user manuals and training materials as needed.

Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, facilitating clear communication and understanding of project goals and requirements.

Project Management: Assist in defining project scope, success criteria, priority, timelines, and deliverables.

Continuous Improvement: Develop and monitor KPIs to identify opportunities for ongoing improvement and recommend changes as needed.

Compliance: Ensure that all systems and processes comply with relevant regulations, standards, and organizational policies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Data Management or similar related technology degree.

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a similar role. Prior experience with Legal, Compliance and EHS applications.

Technical Skills:

Process Flows: Proficient in creating process and system flow visualizations using Visio.

Visualization: Experienced in creating KPI dashboards and insights using Power BI or other data visualization tools.

Systems Knowledge: Familiar with ERP, CRM, or other enterprise systems.

Core Competencies:

Microsoft Office: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

SDLC: In depth understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.

Time Management: Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Analytical: Excellent problem-solving abilities, capable of understanding complex business processes and translating them into functional requirements.

Communication: Superior verbal and written communication skills, adept at engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proficient in English.

Interpersonal: Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate within a team and build relationships across all organizational levels.

Presentation: Demonstrated ability to effectively present information to diverse audiences, including stakeholders, team members, and executives. Proficiency in creating clear, engaging presentations, and conveying complex concepts in a comprehensible manner.

Preferred Qualifications:

Tools: Experience working with Big Data Platforms (DataLake), Robotic Process Engineering (RPA), Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools is preferred.

Background: Individuals with experience in Legal or Compliance functions is highly desirable.
