Salary Range: $83,518 - $100,224
Objective
The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) supports AMPORTS’ enterprise Digital Transformation initiative by documenting business processes and developing digital solutions that improve operational efficiency and data accuracy. This role partners closely with stakeholders across departments to capture current-state workflows and translate them into scalable web applications and automated processes. The BSA operates as a hands-on execution resource, balancing process modeling with solution development while ensuring alignment with IT governance standards. Success in this role is measured by the delivery of accurate process documentation, effective digital tools, and measurable reductions in manual effort.
Essential Functions
· Conduct structured discovery sessions with stakeholders to document current-state business processes across departments.
· Develop detailed swim-lane process diagrams using Visio or equivalent tools, capturing roles, systems, decision points, and data flows.
· Maintain and update a centralized Process Registry, classifying processes by digital and automation readiness.
· Validate documented processes with stakeholders and obtain formal approval prior to solution development.
· Translate approved process documentation into digital solutions, including web applications and Power Automate workflows.
· Develop applications using approved AMPORTS architecture, templates, and AI-assisted tools.
· Ensure all development aligns with IT governance standards, including Azure DevOps pipelines and environment controls.
· Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including data dictionaries, API routes, and system logic.
· Execute functional and system testing, including AI-generated test cases, and document defects and results.
· Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders.
· Build and maintain Power Automate flows for eligible processes, ensuring proper documentation and governance compliance.
· Participate in Agile development activities, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and backlog refinement.
· Provide regular status updates to IT leadership on progress, risks, and deliverables.
· Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements and present solutions.

Required Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent experience
· 2–4 years of experience in a Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role
· Experience documenting business processes using swim-lane diagrams or equivalent methodologies
· Hands-on experience with at least one of the following: web application development, Power Apps, or Power Automate
· Experience working within or alongside an enterprise IT function
· Proficiency with Microsoft Visio or equivalent process modeling tools
· Working knowledge of SQL, including reading and interpreting stored procedures
· Experience with requirements gathering, documentation, and UAT coordination
· Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook)
· Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude) for documentation or development support
Preferred Education and Experience
· Experience with React and modern JavaScript frameworks
· Familiarity with Node.js and REST API development
· Experience with Azure SQL or SQL Server development
· Knowledge of Azure services (App Service, Key Vault, Entra ID)
· Experience with Microsoft Power Automate cloud flows
· Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
· Experience using Azure DevOps for work tracking and CI/CD pipelines
· Knowledge of BPMN or formal process modeling standards
· Industry experience in logistics, supply chain, or port operations

Work Environment
