The impact you’ll make

The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) – Configuration Management plays a key role in enabling Lam’s Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Product Configuration capabilities by partnering with Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and IT teams.

In this role, you will analyse business processes, gather and translate business requirements into functional solutions, and support the implementation of Product Lifecycle Management, Teamcenter, SAP, and Product Configuration capabilities. You will help drive Lam’s digital transformation by ensuring engineering data, product structures, and configuration management processes are effectively integrated across enterprise systems.

What you’ll do

  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
  • Support and enhance SAP Variant Configuration (VC) capabilities, including:
  • Product Configuration and Variant Management
  • Configuration Rules and Dependencies
  • Order BOM Management
  • Non-Standard Request (NSR) Processes
  • Sales and Manufacturing Configuration Scenarios
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support integrations between:
  • Siemens Teamcenter
  • SAP ECC
  • SAP S/4HANA
  • Manufacturing and Supply Chain applications
  • Support SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA transformation initiatives related to configuration management and order processing.
  • Analyse impacts of engineering changes on product configurations, BOMs, and customer orders.
  • Perform solution analysis, impact assessments, prototyping, and process optimization activities.
  • Support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management, deployment, and user adoption activities.
  • Assess cross-functional risks, dependencies, and integration impacts across business processes and systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance configuration accuracy, operational efficiency, and user experience

Who we’re looking for

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Functional Consultant, or SAP Analyst.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting SAP Variant Configuration (VC) and product configuration processes.
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • SAP Variant Configuration (VC)
  • Product Configuration & Variant Management
  • Order BOM Management
  • Configuration Dependencies and Rules
  • Engineering Change Management
  • Order Management Processes
  • Experience working with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain business processes.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
  • Experience supporting end-to-end solution delivery, including requirements, design, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with Siemens Teamcenter and Teamcenter-SAP integrations.
  • Knowledge of Product Orchestration Architecture (POA) and configuration management frameworks.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA migration or transformation programs.
  • Understanding of Order BOM, Super BOM, and configurable product structures.
  • Experience supporting Non-Standard Request (NSR) and engineering change processes.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Experience in semiconductor, high-tech manufacturing, or complex product environments.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
