The business systems analyst is responsible for functional application maintenance, analyzing and resolving application/system issues and recommending and implementing corrective and enhancement modifications to accommodate customer and business requirements.
Business Systems Analyst 1
Based on the business requirements, develops and executes test plans to ensure software functionality.
Business Systems Analyst 2
Participates in less complex technical studies to evaluate business requirements and recommends solutions.
Business Systems Analyst 3
Communicates trends and requirements to and from customers and IT.
Bachelor's degree in business or computer science; or equivalent related work experience. (Typically four years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.)
Business System Analyst 1 - 1-2 years work experience in systems analysis, programming, project management or systems implementation or support.
Business System Analyst 2 - 3 or more years work experience in systems analysis, programming, project management or systems implementation or support.
Business System Analyst 3 - 5 or more years work experience in systems analysis, programming, project management or systems implementation or support.
Knowledge of the gas industry and familiarity with nominations/contracting/capacity systems would be a plus.
Experience with or significant knowledge of CAS systems.
Must have strong functional knowledge of Business Objects.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows operating environment, relational database environments and specialized analysis, design and testing tools.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
