Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Product Owner / Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our Enterprise Observability organization and lead complex technology initiatives that drive operational excellence and business value.

This role combines the strategic mindset of a Product Owner with the analytical and technical depth of a Senior Business Systems Analyst. The successful candidate will support products and initiatives focused on enterprise monitoring, observability, alerting, visualization, and operational insights, helping ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of critical technology platforms and services.

As part of the organization's observability transformation journey, the candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, architecture, operations, and support organizations to define requirements, prioritize outcomes, and deliver scalable solutions that improve visibility into system health and operational performance.

The ideal candidate is a critical thinker and hands-on problem solver who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments. They will be comfortable operating in ambiguity, managing multiple priorities simultaneously, and driving initiatives through the full product lifecycle, from discovery and implementation through operational readiness and continuous improvement.

About the Product Area

The Enterprise Observability team is responsible for delivering capabilities that enable proactive monitoring, alerting, visualization, and operational insights across the technology landscape. This includes modern observability platforms such as Grafana, supporting dashboards, alerts, metrics, logs, and related operational tooling that help engineering and support teams quickly identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.

The successful candidate will contribute to strategic initiatives that enhance platform adoption, improve operational visibility, streamline user experiences, and support the organization's broader technology modernization efforts.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to define objectives, prioritize work, and deliver solutions that drive business value.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, technical, and operational requirements, translating them into user stories and solution specifications.
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business priorities and delivery goals.
  • Lead multiple initiatives simultaneously, managing dependencies, risks, and competing priorities.
  • Facilitate workshops, requirement sessions, solution reviews, and key decision-making discussions.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams throughout the solution lifecycle, from design and development through testing, implementation, and production support.
  • Analyze business processes, system capabilities, and data flows to identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Operations and Support teams to ensure operational readiness and alignment with monitoring, alerting, and incident management practices.
  • Create and maintain business and technical documentation, including requirements, process maps, workflows, and solution designs.
  • Communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and key decisions to stakeholders and leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Senior Business Systems Analyst, Product Analyst, Technical Analyst, or similar role.
  • Proven experience leading complex technology initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and concurrent workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, challenge assumptions, and drive clarity.
  • Experience translating business needs into scalable technology solutions.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies, SDLC, and product delivery practices.
  • Exposure to production support concepts including incident management, monitoring, alerting, root cause analysis, and operational readiness.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in delivering high-quality outputs.
  • Proficiency in creating business and technical documentation, process maps, workflows, and functional specifications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with enterprise observability, monitoring, alerting, operational intelligence, or related platforms.
  • Familiarity with observability concepts including metrics, logs, dashboards, alerting, and service health monitoring.
  • Exposure to platforms such as Grafana, Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, AppDynamics, or similar technologies.
  • Experience supporting enterprise transformation, platform modernization, or large-scale strategic initiatives.
