Brief Description:
The HSE Business Systems Manager fulfills a corporate staff position and is responsible to deliver specialized support to stakeholders among all QHSE functional teams as directed by the Director, HSE. The HSE Business Systems Manager is responsible for the administration, optimization, and continuous improvement of the organization’s HSE Safety Management System, with a primary focus on Intelex platform performance, system training, data integrity, and system development. This position serves as the technical and functional bridge between HSE operations, regulatory compliance requirements, business structure, and IT security to ensure the delivery of accurate, reliable, and actionable HSE data across the enterprise.
The HSE Business Systems Manager actively supports the design, configuration, enhancement, and governance of Intelex modules to align with evolving HSE programs, regulatory standards, and operational needs. This role ensures the quality, consistency, and timeliness of data inputs by establishing strong controls, validation processes, and data governance practices while providing expert-level guidance to users and stakeholders. Will also need working knowledge and practical experience integrating and supporting HSE data across complementary business systems and analytics platforms, including Power BI, Tableau, Power Apps, Python, and other enterprise reporting and automation tools. The HSE Business Systems Manager partners closely with HSE Operations, IT, and system vendors to troubleshoot issues, implement system improvements, manage user access aligned with business hierarchies, and ensure compliance with cybersecurity and data protection protocols.

The HSE Systems Management Manager works with limited direction.The incumbent determines and develops the approach to solutions.The work is evaluated upon completion to ensure objectives have been met.
Provides resolution to an assortments of problems that are typically well defined,but some clarification or judgment is required to determine action, as additional information about the problem / task is discovered.Uses judgment within defined practices / procedures to determine appropriate action.Problem/Task resolution timeframe: Inclusive of shorter timeframes, but the majority of tasks take up to several weeks to resolve.
Under general supervision, proceeds alone on regular duties, referring questionable cases to supervisor.
