Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Business System Analyst acts as a vital link between Finance Business Services, Technology & Digital Services, and external vendors. This role partners with stakeholders to analyze business processes, gather requirements, and design efficient and effective business solutions. The analyst is responsible for the implementation, support, and continuous improvement of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and AX 2012 for Finance.

Focusing primarily on Record to Report and Indirect Procurement through to vendor payment processes, the analyst collaborates with other BSAs to ensure comprehensive coverage and optimization of all finance-related processes.

Key Responsibilities:

The holder of the position is mainly responsible for the following areas in coordination with his / her superior:

Project Management

  • Collaborate with Finance and internal teams across global, APAC regions and markets with external vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Support end-to-end project from an IT perspective starting from business requirements discovery to final testing, delivery, training but also by supporting the transition from project to operations.
  • Communicate and coordinate with various internal teams (global and regional, finance/ business/ technology) and external vendors to enable seamless system or integration roll-out.
  • Work with external vendors to ensure the delivery of high-quality outcomes in a timely manner.
  • Review solution design documents to identify local technical dependencies / changes required and initiate necessary changes.
  • Prepare and maintain IT documentation such as system design documents, UAT test scripts, functional requirement documents and user manual.

Change Management and Operation Support

  • Monitor, maintain, and support Microsoft Dynamics 365 and AX 2012 ensuring critical business functions are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Manage external vendors to provide quality and timely system support to ensure smooth operations.
  • Support change request process, monitor development, quality outcome and deployment.
  • Oversee integration support between Microsoft Dynamics 365/AX 2012 and Bank Platform/ COUPA/ CONCUR.
  • Provide application system support to end-users when it is required.

Requirements

Academic / Professional Qualifications

  • University degree in Information Technology, Accounting, or related disciplines
  • Agile or PMP certified is desirable
  • Microsoft Certificates on Dynamics 365 related topics

Work Experience

  • At least 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst or System Analyst for IT systems
  • Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations or AX 2012
  • Experience in systems implementation/enhancement/configurations
  • Experience in financial month end closing
  • Experience in bank payment integration
  • Experience working at a regional level (with multiple APAC countries)
  • Experience in retail, hospitality, or luxury retail desired

Functional/Technical Expertise

  • A firm understanding of solution integration and development methodologies
  • Knowledge in various system integration is an advantage
  • Knowledge in X++ and SQL is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office

  • Strong coordination skill with experience in managing stakeholders and external vendors
  • Ability to build rapport with IT and business users
  • Must be a good team player, responsible and willing to learn
