We are seeking a Finance Systems Analyst to join the Global Digital Business Services (GDBS) team. In this role, you will play a critical part in providing system-level support, maintaining data integrity, and assisting with financial reporting across South Pole’s multiple finance systems, including our core ERP.
Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Technology within the broader Enterprise Technology team, your primary focus will be on supporting the effective use, configuration, and data quality of various finance applications to ensure they meet the company's evolving financial needs and compliance requirements.

Main tasks & responsibilities:
Provide technical support and troubleshooting to finance users for issues across various financial systems, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Assist in the day-to-day maintenance, data loading, and integrity checks for multiple finance applications including South Pole’s in-house built inventory & Project management system (AQ)
Support the implementation, configuration, and enhancement of financial reporting tools and processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, particularly the core Finance department, to gather and document business requirements for system changes and updates.
Translate financial business needs into system configuration specifications and user stories to address key business challenges.
Perform configuration and maintenance tasks within finance systems (e.g., setting up new accounts, cost centers, or workflows).
Conduct quality assurance (QA) testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) for system upgrades, patches, and development items before deployment.
Develop and maintain documentation, process maps, and training materials for finance system users.
Proactively update and enhance knowledge of various finance systems, best practices, and new releases.
Requirements:
Essential -
Master's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
2+ years of experience supporting or working with enterprise-level finance or ERP systems.
Strong understanding of core financial processes (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Reporting).
Excellent oral and written skills in English, other language skills highly valued.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Diligent, reliable, and proactive with a strong commitment to data integrity and process efficiency.
A strong desire to continually develop new and up-to-date skills that bring value to South Pole’s technology roadmap.
Desirable -
Practical experience in a start-up/scale-up environment.
Experience with agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
Experience with specific financial reporting/BI tools (e.g., Power BI)
Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics Finance and Operations (F&O) and other Finance systems (Quickbooks, Xero, Abacus)
Experience with Dual-write functionality between finance and operational systems.
