We currently are recruiting to a Business Support Officer role in the Legal Department at Norfolk County Council. This role will initially be for 22 months but may become a permanent contract.
You should be a logical thinker with a methodical approach to your work and must have current intermediate to advanced administrative and technology systems experience in a professional environment along with excellent communication skills that demonstrate your ability to act, think, speak, and write clearly and intelligently. We are looking for people to be inquisitive and proactive in their thinking as well as enthusiastic, being fully committed and engaged in learning your role to achieve competence across all tasks and contributing to best outcomes for the Business Support Team. You don’t necessarily need to be ambitious in wanting to secure an onwards career pathway, and we are excited to hear from you if you want to excel in this role in the longer-term.

This is currently an in-office role only and is not being offered on a hybrid or remote basis. Working hours are 09:00am to 5:00pm in the office (if PT then by agreement).
We are happy to consider part-time workers, workers returning after a career break and those close to retirement or semi-retired who want to remain active in the work force, if you fulfil the requirements for this role.
We think this is an exciting role in the hub of the department and if you would like to discuss in more detail or if you have any questions please contact Nicky McDowell, Office Manager on 01603-222235 or at nicky.mcdowell@norfolk.gov.uk
