Business Support Officer – Norfolk Youth Justice Service | 10020 | Permanent Contract| 37 hours per week | £26,403 to £28,142 per annum | Grade E | County Hall
We are pleased to offer an opportunity as a Business Support Officer with Norfolk Youth Justice Service (NYJS).
NYJS is a statutory multi-agency partnership, hosted within Norfolk County Council, to prevent children and young people from offending, whilst safeguarding their welfare, protecting the public and helping restore the damage caused to the victims of their crime.
The Business Support Officer provides administration support to staff within NYJS. This includes maintaining all information and administrative support systems, preparation of paperwork and recording of information on electronic case management systems.
This post will provide support to all strands of NYJS which will include out of court, post court, restorative justice and specialist workers. As well as these tasks, the post will also be expected to provide support to the day to day functions of the service and the office space.
You must be able to communicate well at all levels and have a flexible, adaptable and “can do” approach in what is a fast moving and changing environment. Excellent computer literacy and keyboard skills, the ability to demonstrate good initiative and prioritise your workload are essential whilst adhering to strict service led deadlines and also maintaining a high level of accuracy.
This is a hybrid role but there is an expectation that 2 days of the working week will be office based.
Knowledge of the criminal justice system would be helpful, but not essential and due to the nature of the work you must be 18 or over.
Before you apply, we recommend reading the full and Person Specification to help you demonstrate you meet the criteria.
These are some benefits you can enjoy by working for Norfolk County Council:
