⭐ About the role

As a Business Manager within the CIO organisation, you’ll play a key role in enabling effective leadership, operational excellence, and strategic decisionmaking across our technology landscape. You’ll support the CIO and senior leadership team by providing financial insight, operational performance reporting, workforce planning intelligence, and business management leadership. This role also leads Business Management capability within Hyderabad, ensuring highquality, consistent support across locations. The Business Manager will be going to report locally to the Enabling services HoE in India and will functionally report to the Central BM lead in UK for Enabling.

🧭 What you’ll be doing

  • Develop and deliver a Business Support Services plan across the CIO Enabling Services, with a focus on Hyderabad teams.
  • Lead a CIO Business Management team, ensuring a strong and embedded business partnering model across delivery areas.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal customers, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner.
  • Will support the Enabling Services Head of Engineering India with all head count/finance/people data and activities needed for India reporting.
  • Provide insight, analysis, and performance assessment against CIOlevel strategic deliverables.
  • Manage the BAU financial position for the Enabling Services, including budgeting, technology cost management, reporting, stretch allocation, and the fouryear operating plan.
  • Support headcount and peopledata activities, ensuring accurate strategic and local workforce planning, including quarterly forecasting.
  • Lead, facilitate, and contribute to CIO governance forums to review financial, operational, and delivery performance.
  • Produce highquality business materials, reporting packs, and presentations to support the CIO’s agenda.
  • Drive CIOspecific engagement for the Hyderabad location, connecting teams with global strategy and leadership expectations.

🔑 What you’ll bring

Essential skills & experience

  • Strong business and commercial insight, with the ability to understand external market context and its impact on Group strategy.
  • Proven ability to manage complex financial environments, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimisation.
  • High level of data literacy — able to interpret, communicate, and apply data to support decisionmaking.
  • Excellent storytelling capability; able to translate insight into compelling narratives for senior stakeholders.
  • Experienced in leading through influence, driving collaboration, and building strong networks.
  • Demonstrated capability in workforce planning, peopledata analysis, and organisational insight.
  • Strong planning and prioritisation skills, including governance oversight and budgetary control.

Desirable experience

  • Prior experience within CIO, technology, or enterprisewide operations.
  • Experience operating in a matrixed, multicountry environment.
  • Previous leadership of business management or operational support teams.
