Job Summary

Adventist Health St. Helena is seeking a Business Support Associate - Human Resources for a per diem, day shift position. We are looking for a qualified and dedicated individual who is able to work onsite at our St. Helena, CA location.

Supports the Adventist Health Human Resources team from the Adventist Health Employment Center located at Pacific Union College with a defined set of administrative, data, and analytical support functions. Work may support one or multiple human resources departments and will include data entry and validation, organizing information for review, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate records while handling confidential information appropriately. Depending on assignment, this may include supporting the compensation team with the preparation and processing of onboarding documents. Completes assigned support functions and tasks under the direction of human resources leadership, gaining exposure to human resources operations across the system. Open to any actively enrolled Pacific Union College student.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

  • Current active enrollment as a student at Pacific Union College, open to any enrolled student regardless of program of study: Required
  • Continued active enrollment at Pacific Union College throughout the entire duration of employment: Required
  • Coursework in human resources, business, finance, accounting, data, or a related field: Preferred
  • Prior office, administrative, or data-entry experience: Preferred

Essential Functions

  • Provides administrative, data, and reporting support to the human resources team across assigned functions.
  • Assists HR teams with the preparation and processing of onboarding documents or other processes.
  • Enters, validates, and maintains human resources data in Oracle and related systems. Organizes and formats information and data for team review. Prepares and formats routine reports, trackers, and documentation.
  • Compiles monthly reports summarizing progress and accomplishments. Maintains accurate records and handles confidential information appropriately.
  • Responds to routine, clearly defined inquiries and escalates matters outside the defined scope.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
