About the Role: Looking for a role where you can gain meaningful, hands-on business experience while learning how a major electric utility operation works behind the scenes? Join our Overhead Construction team and become part of the administrative support that helps keep critical construction operations moving. As a Business Student, you’ll work alongside experienced administrative professionals in KUB's Overhead Construction department and gain exposure to real-world business processes, financial administration, data management, and operational support. This is an opportunity to put your classroom knowledge into practice while developing skills that will benefit you throughout your career.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the Overhead Construction department with day-to-day office activities
  • Organize, file, scan, copy, and review documents with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Help transition paper records into electronic files and organized digital data
  • Assist with invoice reconciliation and payment processing, gaining exposure to basic financial processes
  • Review and audit employee time sheets for accuracy•Perform data entry and maintain accurate, up-to-date databases and records
  • Use Microsoft Office applications and company-specific software to complete assignments and support business operations
  • Take on additional administrative projects and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Physical Requirements:

This position is primarily sedentary and performed in a typical office environment. Duties involve sitting most of the time with occasional walking or standing. The role may require occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of items up to 20 pounds. Bending, stooping, or reaching may occasionally be required. Physical demands may vary by position and may occasionally exceed those described above.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be a full-time student of an accredited college or university pursuing an Associates, Bachelors, or graduate-level degree
  • Must have and maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher
  • Must possess basic computer skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be available to work minimum of 15 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:00am and 5:00 pm
  • Valid driver's license

Preferred Requirements:

  • Pursuing a business-related undergraduate or graduate degree
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to write reports/summaries/articles requiring minimal review
  • Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and SharePoint
  • Experience with Tableau or PowerBI
  • Ability to work with multiple different teams and departments across the
  • organization
