The Business Strategy and Planning Assistant Manager plays a key role in corporate planning and performance management for subsidiary operations and inland logistics businesses. This position is responsible for leading financial analysis, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and delivering management reporting to support executive decision-making. The role also drives business performance improvement initiatives and partners with cross-functional teams to enhance financial transparency, operational efficiency, and strategic planning.
Responsibilities
• Subsidiary Performance Management
◦ Lead monthly financial performance analysis, including variance analysis comparing actual results against the Business Plan (BP), and provide insights on key drivers and risks
◦ Consolidate and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across subsidiaries and deliver structured performance reports for executive and management review
◦ Prepare and present management reporting materials, including executive presentations and supporting analysis
◦ Review financial assumptions, business cases, and investment proposals for new business opportunities and internal approvals (Ex. Red Folder process)
◦ Coordinate with subsidiary finance and operational teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial reporting, planning assumptions, and performance tracking
◦ Identify performance gaps and recommend actionable improvement initiatives to enhance operational and financial outcomes
• Inland Logistics Business Support (GUS)
◦ Lead financial and operational analysis for inland transportation and logistics operations to support business performance management
◦ Conduct profitability analysis and develop recommendations to improve operational efficiency and margin performance
◦ Support strategic planning and financial evaluation for new projects, investments, and business expansion opportunities within inland logistics
◦ Partner with operations, finance, and strategy teams to develop data-driven insights for decision-making
◦ Perform ad-hoc financial modeling, scenario analysis, and reporting to support management decision-making and strategic initiatives
◦ Other duties as assigned
Compensation Range
$86,000 - $96,000 Per Year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

Skills
• Strong financial modeling, data analysis, and presentation skills Required
• Experience supporting logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations Required
• Ability to communicate complex analysis clearly to senior management Required
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and project management capability Required
• Proficient PC skills: MS Office Suite (Ex. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other database management systems) Required
• Proficient PC skills: SAP, PowerBI, or other visualization tools Preferred
• Bilingual in Korean and English preferred
Education & Experience
• Bachelor's Degree Required
• 6 - 9 Years of experience in Accounting, Finance, and/or Planning Required
• 7 - 11 Years of experience in Accounting, Finance, and/or Planning Preferred
• CPA Preferred
