Job description

Overview Of The Role:

The Business Solutions Manager is responsible for managing and supporting business IT solutions to align with IKEA's strategy across territories. The role involves analysis, design, configuration, and support of processes to improve efficiency and meet business goals. The manager will guide the implementation of ERP modules and IT tools across all IKEA stores and warehouses in the UAE, Qatar, Egypt, and Oman. Success in this role requires the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and maintain alignment with IKEA and Al-Futtaim Group standards.

What You Will Do:

Solution Scoping

  • Determine which business requirements can and should be improved and how these functions are integrated into solutions.
  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, surveys, and site visits.
  • Translate business requirements into workflows that integrate with critical software.
  • Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
  • Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for spending and initiatives.
  • Plan, manage, and evaluate the work of the team to ensure compliance with service level agreements.
  • Ensure IT processes, procedures, and standards are in place and followed across all territories.

Digital & Multi-Channel Retailing

  • Manage new enterprise project rollouts and implementation of Service Packs & Hot Fixes with minimal business disruption.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of MV-Microsoft Dynamics and other IT infrastructure, maximizing departmental functionalities.
  • Implement global e-Commerce & Web platforms to support multi-channel sales and promote B2B sales.

Principal Tools & Relation

  • Collaborate closely with global release responsible(s) & support teams for centralized IKEA IT tools.
  • Serve as the primary contact for ERP and business solutions across all departments.
  • Drive collaboration and influence among key business stakeholders and team members.

Audit & Compliance

  • Periodically review & audit applications & database authorizations, ensuring compliance with global and group audits.
  • Administer ETL activities, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
  • Coordinate with technical teams for database backups and recovery plans.

Expansion & New Projects

  • Evaluate and roll out new solutions in new markets across various formats.
  • Ensure projects are delivered within scope, time, and budget.
  • Complete go-live readiness and ensure minimal critical incidents after rollout.

Required Skills To Be Successful:

  • Strong strategic, analytical, and tactical abilities.
  • Ability to recognize issues and develop business solutions.
  • Proficiency in computer technology for communication, data gathering, and reporting.
  • Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

What Qualifies You For The Role:

  • Graduate in Computer Science or IT Engineering.
  • Microsoft Nav. Certification or equivalent.
  • Business Central (On Prem/Cloud) related certificates.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in a mid-management role for retail applications.
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft Dynamics ERP (Navision, Business Central On Prem/Cloud, CRM), LS-Retail & Microsoft SQL Server.
  • BI applications like Power BI or equivalent are required.
