Salary Range: Band 8 $150,432 + $162,791 +Superannuation

(Remuneration stated is for the full-time positions)

Work type: Permanent Full-time

Location: Brisbane Square

The Role:

The Business Services Manager provides high level, strategic professional and executive support, process management and policy advice to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Branch Leadership Team, staff and stakeholders. This contributes to the overall management, operation and strategic direction of the Strategic Finance branch. This role also manages the Branch Management Office.

To be successful you will have:

  • Demonstrated evidence of capabilities in Council’s Leadership Blueprint to deliver performance excellence and a values-based culture
  • Demonstrated ability and significant experience in providing high quality professional strategic advice, interpretation and information to senior management across varied corporate strategy, planning, policy, business and operational issues
  • Demonstrated high level analytical, research and problem-solving skills to synthesise and summarise complex issues, identify contentious and emergent risks and issues and develop options and recommendations for their resolution
  • Demonstrated ability in strategic and business planning and experience in management of a large complex organisation’s financial management processes
  • Highly developed verbal, written, interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills to effectively communicate and develop positive relationships with all levels of internal stakeholders and external customers, with a focus of exceptional and responsive customer service always
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in managing sensitive information in a confidential and appropriate manner and exercise discretion in dealing with sensitive, complex issues
  • Ability to contribute to team direction, give and receive feedback and achieve agreed performance standards to contribute to a culture of performance excellence
