JOB OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a seasoned Manager to join our business services team based in our Tamworth office. They will assist the Partners and Associates in building and managing a portfolio of clients, through the provision of high-quality taxation and business advisory services. You will oversee the management of the Business Services Team including achieving performance outcomes, job reviews, workflow management, and team member development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead and inspire—take charge of the Tamworth Business Services team and work directly with clients to drive success.
• Shape financial strategies—help businesses navigate tax planning and stay compliant with regulations.
• Be a problem-solver—collaborate with clients to tackle accounting challenges and find smart solutions.
• Make an impact—provide expert recommendations that improve financial processes and fuel business growth.
• Stay ahead of the game—keep up with evolving accounting standards and regulations that could affect clients.
• Dive into tax advisory—work on high-level strategies like restructures, small business CGT concessions, wealth transfers, and tax consolidation.
ABOUT YOU?
We're looking for a driven and skilled professional who:
• is CA qualified (CPA may be considered)
• Brings 5+ years of experience in public practice, with expertise as an Accounting Supervisor or Manager in a mid to large Australian firm desirable.
• Has solid experience working as an Accountant in an Australian public practice firm (at least 2-3 years highly desirable).
• Is tech-savvy, with strong proficiency in accounting software systems.
• Possesses deep knowledge of accounting principles and practices, ensuring expert financial guidance.
• Excels in financial reporting and analysis, helping businesses make informed decisions.
• Has hands-on experience with tax compliance, including preparing tax returns with precision.
• Pays close attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring everything is done right the first time.
• Thrives on solving complex problems with curiosity and an innovative mindset.
• Communicates clearly and effectively, both in writing and in person, to engage clients and colleagues.
• Must have Australian citizenship or permanent residency to be eligible for this position.
