Job Description

Indutrades Business Area Life Science is seeking an accomplished and entrepreneurial Business Segment Leader to lead its growing portfolio of Life Science businesses across Ireland and the UK.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Life Science, the Business Segment Leader will provide strategic leadership and support to the Managing Directors of the UK & Ireland portfolio, with responsibility for driving sustainable profitable growth across the segment.

A particular focus will be on M&A and portfolio development, identifying and building relationships with attractive acquisition targets, particularly within MedTech, while supporting existing businesses with strategy, performance, talent development and succession planning. The role will also hold responsibility for the consolidated P&L of the Business Segment and will act as Chair or support the Boards of portfolio companies.

We are seeking a senior business leader who combines Managing Director-level P&L experience with a strong entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to coach, challenge and influence experienced business leaders. Relevant M&A experience and knowledge of the MedTech, pharma or biopharma sectors in Ireland and/or the UK will be important.

The successful candidate will be a relationship-led, credible and collaborative leader who is comfortable operating within a highly autonomous, decentralised environment.

The role can be based in Ireland or the UK, with flexibility to work remotely, on a hybrid basis, or from one of the Business Segment company offices. Regular travel across Ireland and the UK will be required.
