Are you passionate about risk management and keen to play a key role in one of the most dynamic areas of banking?
We're looking for a Business Risk Lead to provide operational risk oversight, guidance and delivery support across the Payments Tribe. This is a highly visible role where you'll partner with stakeholders across the business, technology and risk functions to strengthen controls, enhance risk management practices and ensure regulatory obligations are met.
You'll bring a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach to risk, helping teams navigate change while embedding effective risk management into everyday operations and strategic initiatives.
What You'll Do
Provide risk oversight, guidance and support across the Payments Tribe, partnering with stakeholders to strengthen risk management practices and control effectiveness.
Support the identification, assessment and remediation of risk events, issues and control gaps, working closely with Operational Risk, Technology and Payments Control teams.
Prepare and maintain risk governance reporting, committee packs and documentation, ensuring risks, controls, actions and decisions are accurately captured and tracked.
Contribute risk expertise to change initiatives and operational risk activities, including RCSA, BIA, process mapping, DPIA, PARP and EUC governance.
Coordinate regulatory, scheme and industry reporting obligations, ensuring commitments, actions and deadlines are delivered accurately and on time.
What We're Looking For
3–5 years' experience in operational risk, business controls or a related risk management role, with exposure to issue and event management, risk in change and control effectiveness.
Experience within Payments, Banking or another regulated financial services environment.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, challenge and build credibility across all levels of the organisation.
A genuine interest in risk management, coupled with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
A pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
