Business Risk Analyst (Operational Risk and Resilience)
Business Risk-BG-UK
Business Risk helps the firm understand and manage the risks it takes in support of its strategy and priorities. The Operational Risk and Resilience team provides oversight, advice and challenge across operational risk, resilience, vendor risk, product risk and fund risk, helping the firm make informed decisions within risk appetite.
As Business Risk Analyst, you will support the Department in its role as trusted adviser to the firm by contributing to the analysis of operational, resilience, vendor, product and fund risks in accordance with the relevant risk management frameworks. You will work collaboratively across Business Risk and the wider firm, supporting clear insight, reporting and responses to internal and external stakeholders.
The role also has a strong continuous improvement and innovation focus. You will help improve the quality and efficiency of risk activities through the use of AI and other tools, keep abreast of emerging technologies in the risk management space and proactively explore practical use cases that can strengthen how the team works.
We are looking for a curious, organised and collaborative individual who is keen to develop a career in business risk. This is a varied role offering exposure to operational risk, resilience, vendor and fund risk, alongside the opportunity to contribute to reviews, governance reporting and wider risk activity across the Department. Direct risk experience is not essential. Experience in financial or professional services, operations, compliance, audit, data analysis or another environment requiring thoughtful analysis and sound judgement would be valuable. You should enjoy getting underneath an issue, making sense of information and using it to support clear conclusions and practical next steps. The role involves working with colleagues across Business Risk and the wider firm, so you will need to communicate clearly, build effective relationships and work collaboratively. You should be organised, adaptable and comfortable taking ownership of your work while asking for support when needed. We are particularly interested in someone with an improvement mindset who is curious about how AI and other emerging technologies can improve risk management. You should be willing to experiment with approved tools, learn from subject matter experts and bring ideas that help make risk activities more efficient, insightful and scalable.
