Job Description
As Business Resilience Manager within Ecolab’s Global Business Solutions+ (GBS+) & Enterprise AI organization, you will lead the execution of a critical capability—ensuring the continuity and resilience of essential global services. GBS+ is a multifunctional shared services platform supporting Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, Legal, HR, Real Estate, and Automation across five global locations. In this role, you will own the development, testing, and continuous improvement of business continuity and resilience plans, enabling both GBS+ and AI operations to withstand and recover from disruptions. You will provide strategic oversight, expert guidance, and hands‑on support to proactively manage risk, strengthen preparedness, and drive effective incident response. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Strategy & Governance, you will partner closely with functional leaders to embed resilience into business planning, elevate organizational readiness, and ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
This position is located at Ecolab’s GBS Global Service Delivery Center in Pune, India (hybrid schedule, 60% time in the office, working the 12 pm-9 pm IST shift Mon-Fri)

What You Will Do:
- Partner with functional and site stakeholders to conduct risk assessments and business impact assessments, evaluating the impact of potential disruptions across GBS+ processes and global locations
- Define, prioritize, and lead risk mitigation initiatives aligned to business priorities and service criticality
- Own the development, maintenance, and maturation of sustainable Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) across GBS+ functions and locations to reduce business interruption risk
- Design and deliver BCP training, simulations, and exercises; analyze results to identify gaps, drive improvements, and reinforce a culture of preparedness
- Establish and govern a structured cadence for BCP testing, review, and updates to ensure plans remain current with organizational changes and site operations
- Maintain an inventory of AI-supported services and process dependencies; tier criticality and document potential failure modes
- Define continuity and recovery targets for AI-enabled capabilities (e.g., Recovery Time Objective where applicable)
- Design, document, and test fallback procedures when AI is unavailable, including manual workarounds, human review queues, and non‑AI alternatives (rules-based logic, templates, and standard operating procedures)
- Plan and facilitate resilience exercises that include AI outage and degraded-quality scenarios; validate business readiness, recovery steps, and communications to internal stakeholders
- Support GBS+ leadership during real disruption events, coordinating response activities and ensuring effective execution of continuity plans
- Collaborate with digital, technology, and operations teams to strengthen the resilience of critical systems and services, including resilience plans for AI-supported services
- Monitor, analyze, and report resilience metrics—including KPIs, incidents, and outages—to measure program effectiveness and support continuous improvement
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Emergency Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 12+ years of experience in business resilience, business continuity, risk management, or related disciplines, with a proven track record of program execution
- Solid understanding of business resilience principles and crisis management practices
- Knowledge of shared services operating models and the unique resilience considerations within a global services environment
- Familiarity with Fusion Risk Management preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives and collaborate across geographies and cultures to influence stakeholders and deliver results
- Experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and interdependencies
- Proven experience designing and leading training programs, workshops, and business resilience exercises or drills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and support leaders at multiple levels of the organization
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification in Business Continuity or Risk Management
- Experience working in a large consulting firm (Accenture, McKinsey, EY, PWC, etc.)
