Job Description

The Business and Reporting Analyst will be tasked with overseeing key strategic initiatives to enhance the operational excellence of the department. Reporting to the Actuarial Function Head, the candidate is expected to own key processes/projects and look for continuous improvement opportunities and act as a technical, functional or agile resource in the planning and implementation of projects. Responsibilities require little or no supervision. The candidate is required to have strong knowledge of tools and methodologies surrounding Business Analysis.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with various parties and key decision makers to deliver strategic initiatives of the department.
  • Monitor progress of department strategies and initiatives and identify and escalate key risks, issues and dependencies, as well as cost benefit trade-offs among a variety of options to align with overall project and program objectives
  • Ownership and continuous improvement of key tools and processes such as seat optimization, headcount analysis, quarterly governance reporting
  • Development and implementation of new tools and processes that would further enhance the operational excellence of the department
  • Act as a point of contact for the department on any MBPS wide initiatives/councils

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of Business Analsyt or consultant experience with Financial Services or Middle and Back Office Operations enabling integrated solutions to optimize processes, technology, data etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree holder of any IT and Finance related courses.
  • Strong in Excel and applying best in class tools/technologies to deliver practical, result driven solutions.
  • Experienced in end-to-end project handling, with solid capability in analyzing data flows, dependencies, and data governance/management.
  • Amenable to working on a night shift work schedule and hybrid work set up (3x a week onsite in Quezon City)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with MS Visio, MS Project, and Power BI
  • LOMA level 1 certification is a plus
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge in SQL, R, Python an advantage
