The opportunity
Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities, employs over 1,900 staff, and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products, Solutions and Services. Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications, including power generation, transmission and distribution, oil, chemical and gas, industrial manufacturing, semiconductor and data centers, as well as building and transportation sectors.

How you’ll make an impact
1. You will establish mechanical simulation models for core components of power transformers (tank, winding, core, bushing, etc.), conduct static/dynamic mechanics, model, seismic, short-circuit impact and thermal-structure coupling simulation analysis.
2. You will optimize transformer structure design and material selection based on simulation results. And provide suggestions on improving short-circuit withstand capacity, seismic performance and mechanical reliability of products.
3. You will conduct mechanical performance verification in accordance with IEC, GB and other international & domestic standards, issue professional simulation reports, provide technical support for product R&D, type test and mass production.
4. You will cooperate with structure design, electromagnetic design and process teams to solve mechanical structure problems in R&D and production, participate in new product review and technical solution research.
5. You will optimize simulation process, modeling standards and analysis methods, introduce advanced mechanical simulation technologies, improve simulation accuracy and efficiency, build technical knowledge base to support the R&D process of new technology.
6. You will track new technology in power transformer mechanical simulation field, participate in industrial technical exchanges. Support factories troubleshooting in your domain of expertise and collaborate with global team on evaluation of new R&D solution.
7. You will be responsible for ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background
1. You hold a master’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or related majors.
2. Minimum 3 years of practical mechanical simulation experience in power transformer or high-voltage electrical equipment industry, familiar with transformer structure and working principle.
3. Proficiency in Ansys, pro-Mechanical and other simulation software, skilled in structural mechanics and coupled field simulation analysis.
4. Solid knowledge of transformer short-circuit mechanical strength, seismic analysis and related industrial standards.
5. Fluent in English (written & spoken), capable of reading technical documents and writing professional reports.
6. Strong technical problem-solving ability, detail-oriented, good teamwork and communication skills.
