Location: Baulkham Hills NSW | Hybrid

Lead meaningful business change across Child and Family Services

Possability Group is looking for an experienced Business Project Manager to lead and deliver business-led projects and initiatives that strengthen organisational capability, improve practice and deliver better outcomes.

This is an opportunity to join a role with an immediate and important focus across our Child and Family Services program of work, before transitioning into a broader portfolio of business projects and organisational improvement initiatives.

About the role

In the initial phase of the role, you will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and EGM Practice and Operational Excellence, supporting a significant program of work that includes a Policy and Procedure Uplift Program.

You will bring strong project management, business improvement and stakeholder engagement capability, together with an understanding of the operating environment across Child and Family Services.

  • Leading and coordinating business projects and programs from initiation through to implementation
  • Supporting the uplift and development of policies, procedures, frameworks and business processes
  • Reviewing and mapping current processes and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Developing project plans, governance, reporting, executive papers and briefing materials
  • Identifying and managing risks, issues, dependencies and project outcomes
  • Working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders to support decision-making and delivery
  • Supporting communication and change activities to embed new ways of working
  • Developing high-quality documentation, including frameworks, SOPs, reports and communications
  • Contributing to broader business improvement and organisational transformation initiatives

About you

You will be an experienced project professional who understands that successful transformation is about more than delivering a project plan. You will be confident working with senior stakeholders, navigating complex environments and translating business requirements into practical and sustainable outcomes.

  • Relevant tertiary or graduate qualifications, or equivalent experience in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Business, Public Policy, Leadership or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience delivering business-led projects and programs
  • Strong capability in governance, policy development and business improvement
  • Experience working within regulated human services environments, particularly Child and Family Services, Out of Home Care, child protection or disability
  • Understanding of safeguarding, regulatory requirements, contractual obligations and child safe standards
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare executive-level documentation
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and negotiation skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders while also taking ownership of delivery
  • A practical, outcomes-focused approach to change and continuous improvement

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
