Job Description

Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to enhance customer satisfaction and secure orders from internal customers.

This position is responsible for fully implementing customer requirements across manufacturing and sourcing, while managing supply chain action plans to ensure on-time delivery, quality performance (NCR, CoQ), cost control, and contractual compliance.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Serve as the sourcing and supply chain representative for internal projects at the location.
  • Control the total cost of the related product scope.
  • Reduce lead time for related products and create value across the supply chain.
  • Work closely with Material Management, Planning, Master Planning (make or buy), and Sourcing teams.
  • Provide quotations related to customer needs.
  • Understand sourcing strategy and customer requirements for related products.
  • Follow up with internal customers from forecast to PO transaction, ensuring all orders are received and closed in line with the operating plan.
  • Actively participate as a COE / supply chain representative for internal customers and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct working sessions to align all supply chain functions based on the supply strategic action plan.
  • Interact with the master scheduler to ensure fabrication orders, purchasing requisition creation, PO placement, shipment, and all day-to-day project planning activities are aligned with project milestones and targets.
  • Analyze slippage issues within the related scope, consolidate information for project review, and ensure consistency in the root cause analysis of margin movement.
  • Work with Planning to regularly update key dates and ensure actions are deployed to secure on-time delivery (OTD), revenue recognition, and cash management.
  • Monitor product budget for the total cost of the related scope, including manufacturing, direct material, transportation, and warehouse costs.
  • Initiate product cost-out projects and develop execution plans.
  • Own the related product scope and drive improvement in inventory turns.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Project Management.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, manufacturing, sourcing/procurement, or supply chain coordination in a project-related context.
  • Strong operational effectiveness, accountability, and urgency; result-oriented and able to manage customer expectations effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and adaptability.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain processes, production and material control.
  • Ability to understand operational process maps and identify customer-specific requirements.
  • Ability to influence production output and inventory control levers.
  • Ability to assess and define reaction plans for unforecasted delivery, quality, or operational events.
  • Experience developing plans to mitigate risks, improve OTD, and expedite opportunities to meet customer demands.
  • Experience working closely with Planning functions.
  • Strong technical knowledge of casting, welding, and machining.
  • Project management capability, including anticipating and managing risks and opportunities.
  • Ability to build operating and tracking mechanisms for issues before and during manufacturing execution.
  • Knows when to escalate issues and remove bottlenecks and barriers to progress.
  • Strong total cost management mindset.
  • Clear thinker with the ability to develop, communicate, and execute clear strategy and action plans.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to build consensus across business partners and subject matter experts.
  • Ability to work effectively across functions in a global matrix environment.
  • Good communication, persuasion, and influencing skills.
  • Strong continuous improvement mindset across direct and indirect teams to improve operations and customer delivery.
  • Good written and spoken English is required.
