Job Description

Morning is seeking a Business Product Analyst - a business-minded analyst who will work hand in hand with our Product Managers and Scrum teams as a true Business Partner.

This is not a reporting or dashboard role. Your mission is to help the product teams deeply understand how our features are used by our customers, what value they create, and how they can make money. You will turn product and business data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations that shape what the company builds, how it is measured, and how it is monetized.

In a world where AI can surface data, this role exists to answer the harder business questions: Who uses this feature and why? Is it creating value? And how can it make money?

By uncovering the true business impact of what we build, your insights will shape executive decisions, guide product roadmaps, and directly influence Morning's long-term trajectory and growth
• Shape Product & Strategic Direction: Go beyond isolated feature tracking to connect product performance directly to company strategy, ensuring every development choice informs the broader roadmap and long-term business trajectory.
• Act as a Strategic Product Partner: Embed yourself in the daily rhythms of Product and Scrum teams, bringing a high-level business and data perspective to shape feature concepts into core strategic drivers.
• Evaluate Holistic Value & Ecosystem Impact: Analyze usage patterns and user journeys to understand how features contribute to overall platform engagement, long-term retention, and compounding business value
• Scale Monetization & Business Models: Translate product behavior into comprehensive revenue strategies, connecting feature engagement directly to pricing structures, monetization opportunities, and company-wide growth.
• Challenge Assumptions & Drive Core Focus: Use rigorous data insights to question legacy beliefs, helping leadership and product teams prioritize high-impact initiatives and define where to double down or pivot.

Requirements

Who You Are?

• Analytically Fearless: 3 years in an analytical role (product analytics, business analytics, or similar) within a SaaS, fintech, or B2B environment.
• Technical Pro: High-level SQL is your second language. Experience with product analytics tools (Amplitude, Mixpanel) and BI tools (Databricks / AWS QuickSight / Power BI), and strong Excel/spreadsheet modeling skills.
• Business-minded: Strong business acumen - you think in trade-offs, value, and revenue, not just metrics. You understand SaaS business models and key metrics (ARPU, conversion, churn, LTV) and how product behavior drives them.
• Deep understanding of vanity metrics vs. real value, and correlation vs. causation (A/B tests, cohorts, pre/post analysis).
• You simplify the complex. You don't just analyze data; you extract the 'so what' and help the team decide what to build and how to monetize it.
• A Natural Communicator & Team Player: You enjoy working closely with Product Managers, developers, and designers. You present insights simply and help the team turn them into decisions.
• Educational Background: Degree in Economics, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, or Business Management.
