Job Description

We are on a journey to transform our digital capabilities, bringing core business processes, people, data, and technology together—enabling IKEA to become an even better home furnishing retailer in the future. This journey requires passionate people who embrace change, dare to question, and want to make a difference. If that sounds like you, come and join us. Together, we can achieve great things.

As a Business Process Partner, you play a key role in strengthening IKEA’s ability to work in an effective, efficient, and end-to-end aligned way across the value chain. You shape, improve, and maintain business processes within your scope, always with the IKEA totality and long-term development in mind.

Working closely with Business Process Owners (BPOs), process leaders, digital product teams, and operational stakeholders, you translate business needs into scalable, future-ready process solutions. You will help prevent sub-optimization, identify opportunities for improvement, and strengthen operational excellence—both today and in the future.

By taking a holistic view of how we work, we aim to improve how we deliver results in the business environment while ensuring that processes follow BPM standards.

In this role, you will work with Business Process Management frameworks and processes, setting the foundation for how we manage business processes across Inter IKEA. You will have a particular focus on one or more of the following areas: communication, change and learning, improvements and related methods, process modelling, or process performance. You will be part of Operations Management, Process & Capabilities.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Gathering and documenting business requirements together with Business Process Owners for process improvements and development initiatives
  • Defining and supporting process measures and KPIs to enable effective performance monitoring and continuous improvement
  • Analysing process performance data, identifying root causes, risks, and areas for improvement, and supporting compliance with relevant regulations
  • Observing and engaging with process performers to understand business realities, pain points, and future opportunities
  • Modelling and documenting processes according to the Business Process Framework, ensuring clarity and usability
  • Collaborating with digital product teams to ensure digital solutions and data models reflect true process needs
  • Securing clear interdependencies, such as data exchanges across processes
  • Identifying and driving standardization opportunities across teams and functions
  • Bringing in new perspectives by monitoring trends, research, and technologies in process development
  • Supporting competence development by identifying skill needs and contributing to role profiles and capability-building networks
  • Actively enabling change management by:

-Translating process changes into clear, practical impacts on ways of working

-Supporting stakeholders through transitions by fostering understanding, buy-in, and adoption

-Contributing to communication, training needs, and readiness activities related to process changes

Who You Are

You are driven by a strong belief in continuous improvement and sustainable development. With a humble, curious, and hands-on mindset, you enjoy working closely with others to solve problems and improve ways of working—together.

You understand business realities and build trusting relationships that support delivery across the organization.

You are collaborative and structured, comfortable moving between the big picture and the details. You thrive in complex environments and can simplify, engage, and inspire others to adopt new ways of working. You lead primarily through influence and trust, always anchored in IKEA values and a totality mindset.

You bring strong analytical skills and take a thoughtful approach to change, balancing operational realities with long-term needs. Clear communication comes naturally to you, and you enjoy facilitating discussions that align diverse stakeholders around shared goals.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you bring:

  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and leading process-related initiatives
  • A good understanding of change management and experience leading change through indirect leadership
  • Strong understanding of the IKEA value chain, process landscape, business model, and total cost approach
  • A collaborative, communicative, structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working style, with totality (fully integrated value chain) always in mind
  • Experience in business process development, process mapping, or process governance
  • Solid knowledge of Business Process Management methods, tools, and frameworks
