Job Description

Purpose Statement:

The primary focus of the job is to support the Materials planning & purchasing teams with reports and analysis that enable them to make effective planning and execution decisions that supports the ramp-up of Penang site while balancing supply & demand with optimal inventory. In addition the job will support global initiatives to optimize working capital and reduce costs in the supply chain. The job will also be responsible for leading and developing a team of Business Process Analysts to ensure consistent and effective use of available tools and resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead initiatives to enhance planning & purchasing teams’ reports, metrics and review processes that will allow the planning and purchasing teams to be more effective and efficient.

  • Work collaboratively with Applications team to ensure the delivery of new tools / reports in a timely manner. Prioritize projects and resources and manage tight timelines.

  • Work collaboratively with the Core systems (SAP, Rapid Response, etc.) group to identify and define system enhancements to improve our planning and data flow processes.

  • Support global initiatives for inventory & cost optimization, planning & purchasing system and process enhancements, and data management.

  • Develop a team of Business Process Analysts by providing appropriate guidance and training.

  • Develop, enhance and deliver the training curriculum to ensure that planning & purchasing teams understand and can effectively use the reporting tools.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Supply Chain or related discipline with at least 8+ years of working knowledge in planning, purchasing or supply chain management

  • Strong knowledge of planning processes and systems

  • Knowledge of SAP (S4HANA) and Rapid Response is required

  • Demonstrated operational excellence (Lean/ Six Sigma) experience

  • Project management experience with formal accreditation is a plus

  • Familiarity of the Med Tech industry will be advantageous

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic and changing environment

  • Possess a global mindset with ability to successfully navigate through ambiguity

  • Enjoy being a part of a highly diversified workforce and working across different time zones
